Altering the physical path of the ductwork to make it shorter or eliminate unnecessary elbows, drastically improving dryer efficiency and reducing future lint buildup and risk of fire.
Improper vent placement can be a fire hazard, restrict airflow, reduce the efficiency of your dryer, and create a perfect breeding ground for mold and mildew in your home or business. Every load deposits warm, humid, lint-laden air somewhere it was never meant to go.
We've seen vents terminated into attic insulation (fire waiting to happen), into garages (carbon monoxide from gas dryers), into crawl spaces (mold factory), and even blind-capped inside drywall because the builder couldn't be bothered to cut an exterior hole.
Dryer Vent Squad technicians can reroute your vent system to ensure maximum airflow and proper vent termination.
What's Included
- Full system reconfiguration — shortest legal path to an exterior wall or roof
- Code-compliant rigid metal duct throughout — no plastic flex, no accordion foil outside of the laundry room
- Premium quality, high fire-resistant, high efficiency transition hoses
- Proper exterior termination — pest-resistant hood with a back-draft damper
- Removal of illegal interior terminations and all non-code-compliant materials
- Remediation referrals if mold has already started in affected areas
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) recommends annual dryer vent cleaning. If your clothes take more than one cycle to dry, your vent is probably already restricted — and a potential fire risk. Don't wait.
